The inverse function theorem states: let F:U⊆Rn→Rn be C1, with U open, and suppose DF(x0) is invertible. Then there exist open neighbourhoods U0⊆U of x0 and V0 of F(x0) such that F:U0→V0 is a C1 diffeomorphism. Its inverse derivative satisfies
D(F−1)(F(x))=(DF(x))−1,x∈U0.

The conclusion is local; invertibility of one Jacobian matrix does not assert global injectivity.
