For real α=0,γ and complex β=0, completing the square in α∣z∣2−βzˉ−βˉz+γ=0 gives center β/α and radius ∣β∣2−αγ/∣α∣, when the radicand is nonnegative. The displayed map is reflection in the line through 0 and β: it preserves the complex modulus, fixes the center, and squares to the identity. Hence it maps the circle onto itself, including a radius-zero degeneration.
