The primary model computes cold and warm atomic equilibrium branches and the pressure interval where they coexist. Its heating and cooling depend on the radiation field, ionization and gas abundances. This is a thermal-phase model for the Milky Way disk, not a claim that all interstellar phases share one pressure or a perfectly static configuration.
