For independent magnetic moments constrained to μz=±μ, the one-site partition function is 2cosh[μμ0H/(kBT)]. The weak-field magnetization is M=μ0nμ2H/(kBT), so the SI magnetic susceptibility obeys χ=C/T with C=μ0nμ2/kB. If μ=gSμB, this involves S2, not the unrestricted-spin factor S(S+1)/3. The constraint on allowed moment orientations must be specified before using a Curie law coefficient.
