For spatial metric a2(1−2Φ)δij, the combination ζ=−Φ+δρ/[3(ρˉ+Pˉ)] is invariant under a time displacement: Φ shifts by NˉHT and δρ by 3NˉH(ρˉ+Pˉ)T. The opposite overall sign is also valid. The sum Φ+δρ/[3(ρˉ+Pˉ)] is not invariant. This is a useful convention check before applying superhorizon conservation of uniform-density curvature.
