For simple shear, B=(1+γ2γγ1). The off-diagonal entry of σB−Bσ is γ(σ11−σ22)−γ2σ12. Coaxiality of isotropic elastic stress therefore proves the identity for γ=0. At γ=0, material isotropy makes the stress isotropic, proving the same identity.
