Scalar spectral measures μv,w(n)​ converge weakly to μv,w​ when ∫fdμv,w(n)​→∫fdμv,w​ for every bounded continuous function f. Uniform second-moment bounds supply the tightness needed to pass from polynomial tests to all such f.
