A Tornado Debris Signature (TDS) is a specific pattern observed in radar data that indicates the presence of a tornado and the associated debris being lifted into the atmosphere. When a tornado occurs, it can pick up various materials from the ground, such as dirt, leaves, and man-made objects, and fling them into the air. This debris can create a distinct radar signature. Meteorologists use Doppler radar to detect these signatures during storm events.

Walter Murray Wonham (1936-2019) was a prominent Canadian fishery scientist known for his extensive work on the ecology and population dynamics of fish species, particularly those in freshwater systems. He made significant contributions to the understanding of fish behavior, aquatic ecosystems, and the management of fish populations. The Greek Basket League, known as the highest tier of professional basketball in Greece, has seen numerous players achieve significant milestones throughout its history. Transient climate simulation refers to a type of climate model experiment that simulates the climate system's response to changes over time, particularly those driven by human activities, natural events, or external forcings. Unlike equilibrium climate simulations, which evaluate a climate state that has reached a long-term balance after a particular set of conditions or forcings, transient simulations capture the dynamic evolution of the climate system as it adjusts to these changes.
Saunders Mac Lane (1909–2005) was an influential American mathematician best known for his work in category theory, a branch of mathematics that deals with abstract structures and relationships between them. He co-authored the seminal book "Categories for the Working Mathematician" with Samuel Eilenberg in 1965, which introduced the mathematical community to category theory and laid the groundwork for many areas of modern mathematics.
In ring theory, a branch of abstract algebra, a **prime ring** is a specific type of ring with certain properties that resemble those of prime numbers in number theory. A ring \( R \) is called **prime** if it is not the zero ring (i.e.
As of my last update in October 2023, the Greek Basketball Championship, also known as the Basket League, features several statistical categories in which players can become career leaders. However, the BAL is relatively new, having been established in 2020, and detailed statistical leaderboards may not be comprehensive for earlier seasons. For the most current and detailed statistics, it is best to refer directly to the official Basketball Africa League website or other sports news sources that cover league statistics.
The cation channel superfamily refers to a diverse group of ion channels that primarily conduct cations, which are positively charged ions such as sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), calcium (Ca²+), and magnesium (Mg²+). These channels play critical roles in various physiological processes, including the regulation of cellular excitability, muscle contraction, neurotransmitter release, and signal transduction.

Pinned article: Introduction to the OurBigBook Project

Welcome to the OurBigBook Project! Our goal is to create the perfect publishing platform for STEM subjects, and get university-level students to write the best free STEM tutorials ever.
Everyone is welcome to create an account and play with the site: ourbigbook.com/go/register. We belive that students themselves can write amazing tutorials, but teachers are welcome too. You can write about anything you want, it doesn't have to be STEM or even educational. Silly test content is very welcome and you won't be penalized in any way. Just keep it legal!
We have two killer features:
  1. topics: topics group articles by different users with the same title, e.g. here is the topic for the "Fundamental Theorem of Calculus" ourbigbook.com/go/topic/fundamental-theorem-of-calculus
Articles of different users are sorted by upvote within each article page. This feature is a bit like:
    • a Wikipedia where each user can have their own version of each article
    • a Q&A website like Stack Overflow, where multiple people can give their views on a given topic, and the best ones are sorted by upvote. Except you don't need to wait for someone to ask first, and any topic goes, no matter how narrow or broad
This feature makes it possible for readers to find better explanations of any topic created by other writers. And it allows writers to create an explanation in a place that readers might actually find it.

  2. local editing: you can store all your personal knowledge base content locally in a plaintext markup format that can be edited locally and published either:
This way you can be sure that even if OurBigBook.com were to go down one day (which we have no plans to do as it is quite cheap to host!), your content will still be perfectly readable as a static site.
Figure 5. . You can also edit articles on the Web editor without installing anything locally.

  4. Infinitely deep tables of contents:
