 Joule-Thomson coefficient

The temperature change per pressure change at fixed enthalpy is $\mu =(\partial T/\partial p{)}_H=[T(\partial V/\partial T{)}_p-V]/C_p$. A positive coefficient means cooling under an adiabatic throttle pressure drop.
