If square-integrable random variables satisfy Xn​→X almost surely, then Xn​→X in L2 exactly when E[Xn2​]→E[X2]. Boundedness in L2 and almost-sure convergence first give weak convergence in the Hilbert space L2; weak convergence together with convergence of norms gives strong convergence.
