Consider isotropic Electrons and electron holes with equal density n, charges ∓e, equal positive charge carrier mobility μ, and single-species zero-field electrical conductivity σ0=neμ. In a transverse magnetic field, opposite Hall conductivity components cancel, while diagonal components add to 2σ0/[1+(μB)2]. Inverting gives ρxy=0 and ρxx=ρyy=[1+(μB)2]/(2σ0). Its large-field growth is σ0B2/(2n2e2). The total zero-field resistivity is 1/(2σ0), half the single-species resistivity; confusing these quantities introduces a factor-of-two normalization error.
