A (pseudo-)Riemannian manifold is geodesically complete when every inextendible affinely parametrized geodesic is defined for all real parameter values. In the positive-definite case, the Hopf-Rinow theorem identifies this with metric completeness. Null-only completeness in spacetime is a separate weaker condition.
