With downward speed v, downward relative exhaust speed vE>0 and mass M=M0−αt, the ideal vertical equation is v˙=g−αvE/M. Integration gives v=v0+gt+vElog(M/M0). Height follows from h˙=−v; its touchdown condition must be imposed together with the final fuel fraction.
