For a locally eastward aircraft velocity at northern latitude λ, the horizontal Coriolis acceleration is southward with magnitude 2Ωvsinλ. Banking to direct part of the lift northward cancels this acceleration. If vertical lift balances weight, the force ratio gives the displayed angle. Including vertical Coriolis acceleration replaces g by g−2Ωvcosλ. This is a local rotational correction, not a full navigation model of motion along a curved latitude circle.
