If a measure ρ has finite Green energy, then
(h,ρ)=∑n≥1ξn∫Dendρ
(1)
converges in L2 for any orthonormal basis (en) of H01(D) and independent standard normal coefficients ξn. The limit is centered Gaussian with variance equal to the Green energy of ρ and does not depend on the chosen basis.
