A narrow outgoing energy packet has phase −ET/ℏ+δ(E), so stationary phase gives the arrival shift ΔT=ℏδ′(E). For two equal-mass solitons with relative rapidity θ, E=2Mcosh(θ/2). The convention S=e2iδpw instead gives 2ℏδpw′=ΔT. Classical time delays determine only the energy-dependent phase difference, not its constant branch.
