Linearize detF=h(θ) at F=I, θ=θ0, h(θ0)=1, and zero reaction. With displacement gradient H and temperature increment ϑ, one has trH=h′(θ0)ϑ and
σji=CjilkHkl+βjiϑ+qδji,ρ0(η−η0)=Ceϑ−βjiHij+qh′(θ0),
(1)
where Cjilk=ρ0ψ,FijFkl, βji=ρ0ψ,Fijθ and Ce=−ρ0ψ,θθ at the reference state. The temperature factor converts this entropy coefficient to a volumetric heat capacity: θ0Ce. Strictly constant volume is the case h′=0.
