If W has probability density function f(w;q) and cumulative distribution function FW(w;q), then T=exp(α+σW), σ>0, has density f((logt−α)/σ;q)/(σt) and distribution function FW((logt−α)/σ;q) for t>0. The factor 1/(σt) follows from the change-of-variables formula for a probability density. Upper truncation at M divides the density by FW((logM−α)/σ;q).
