With only α3 nonzero, T=diag(α3,−α3) and
U=diag(eiα3/2,e−iα3/2).
(1)
For α3∈/2πZ, the eigenvectors are the nonzero multiples of (1,0)T and (0,1)T. When α3=2πk, U=(−1)kI and every nonzero vector is an eigenvector.
