Use the causal convolution (f0∗f1)(x)=∫0xf0(t)f1(x−t)dt. The convolution theorem for Laplace transforms and (i) give
L(f0∗f1)(p)=F0(p)F1(p)=p2+11−p2+1p.
(1)
Since L(cosx)=p/(p2+1), uniqueness of the Laplace transform yields
(f0∗f1)(x)=f0(x)−cosx,x≥0.
(2)
At x=0 the right side is 1−1=0, agreeing with the empty convolution integral. Identification of f0 as a Bessel function is unnecessary.
