For an ohmic element with finite nonzero electrical resistance R, its electrical conductance is G=1/R: an electric potential difference ΔV drives electric current I=GΔV. Greater positive electrical conductance means a greater electric current for the same positive electric potential difference. Electrical conductivity is instead a bulk material coefficient relating current density to electric field.
