For a binary classifier, the conditional probability of the target condition given a positive classification. If its base rate is p, its true-positive probability is s, and its false-positive probability is f, Bayes' theorem gives P(E∣+)=sp/(sp+f(1−p)). The denominator is positive whenever a positive classification can occur.
