For t>0, the change of variables τ=1/t and u(t)=v(τ)/τ converts t4u′′+λ2u=0 into v′′+λ2v=0. The chain rule gives u′=v−τv′ and u′′=τ3v′′. Thus u=t[Acos(λ/t)+Bsin(λ/t)]. The prefactor cancels the derivative term introduced by inverting the independent variable.
