Ricci soliton
For Ric+∇2f=0, the contracted Bianchi identity and the commutation identity Δ∇f=∇Δf+Ric(∇f) imply ∇R=2Ric(∇f). Meanwhile ∇∣∇f∣2=−2Ric(∇f), so their sum is constant on every connected component.
