David Bohm (1917-1992) was an influential American theoretical physicist, metaphysician, and philosopher. He is best known for his work in quantum mechanics and for his interpretations of the nature of reality and consciousness. Bohm initially studied under Robert Oppenheimer and became known for his contributions to quantum theory. He formulated the "Bohm interpretation" of quantum mechanics, which suggests a deterministic framework to understand quantum phenomena.
