For a blackbody grain with geometric cross-section σ, mass m and stellar-frame velocity v, define the radiation-pressure coefficient β=L⋆σ/(4πcGM⋆m). To first order in v/c, steady absorption and isotropic rest-frame reradiation give
Frad=r2mβGM⋆[(1−cr˙)r−cv].
(1)
The relative incoming flux provides 1−r˙/c; photon reradiation carries stellar-frame momentum proportional to v/c. Subtracting static radiation pressure gives radial drag −2mβGM⋆r˙/(cr2) and transverse drag −mβGM⋆vθ/(cr2). Non-blackbody grains require their actual radiation-pressure efficiency.
