Lower triangular matrix
The algebra Tn(k) consists of the lower triangular n by n matrices over k. Its Jacobson radical N consists of the strictly lower triangular matrices, and
Ni=span{ers:r−s≥i}.
(1)
The n simple left modules Sr are one-dimensional, with a matrix acting through its rth diagonal entry. For the left regular module,
Ni/Ni+1≅Si+1⊕⋯⊕Sn.
