With constant heat capacities C1,C2, a reversible heat engine taking two bodies to a common temperature has Tf=T1C1/(C1+C2)T2C2/(C1+C2). The maximum work is C1T1+C2T2−(C1+C2)Tf. heat isolation does not prohibit transferring work to a store included in the total isolated system.
