At that simultaneous entrance-clock event, xG=0 and tG=−vL/c2. Its runner-frame position is
xG′=γ(0−vtG)=γc2v2L=γβ2L.
(1)
The runner is at x′=0, so the entrance is still ahead by distance γβ2L at the runner-frame emission time. The simultaneously measured distance between the two tunnel ends is xE′−xG′=γL(1−β2)=L/γ, consistent with length contraction.
