Velocity differentiation gives pr=mr˙, pθ=mr2θ˙, pz=mz˙+qA(r). The coordinates θ and z are cyclic, so pθ,pz are conserved. The radial momentum generally changes. In particular the conserved axial canonical momentum differs from the axial mechanical momentum by qA.
