For the Driven two-level Rabi model at fixed resonant pulse duration Tπ=π/Ω, put x=δ/Ω. Its transfer probability is
Pπ(x)=1+x2sin2[(π/2)1+x2].
(1)
The sine-squared numerator differs from one only at order x4, while the denominator gives 1−x2+O(x4). Thus the leading population-transfer error is x2. For a target transfer error ϵ, the frequency mismatch in cycles per second should satisfy ∣δν∣≲Ωϵ/(2π) in this small-detuning regime. This is not a complete characterization of every coherent gate error.
