Toroidal magnetic field ($B_{\varphi }$)

A toroidal magnetic field points in the azimuthal direction around a chosen symmetry axis. Its curved field lines exert inward magnetic tension $-B_{\varphi }^2/({\mu }_{0}R)$ in cylindrical geometry.
