Made four blisters on back of foot on first two days after walking a few hours on them, but then put on some tape on foot, and stopped hurting after that, so the shoe broke quickly.
May 2026: sole unlgued from body and water started coming in. Fuck. The pain was all for naught. I'm never buying leather shoes again. The leather itself is good, but it has to last forever to be worth the pain.
Amazing shoes! Wore them to their destruction.
Shoestring length: 1.185m
Replaced with after bicycle ate it: 1.0m, also worked but at limit.
Size: EUR 45.

TEFAL Multicook 8in1 RK302E15 MultiCooker - 4 Portions / 5L.
Markings say: "SERIE R13-B REF: RK302E15 / 79 A - 1017"
How to open videos: can't find any, but the hard part (remove top lid) was the same as the video for joyoung rice cooker (2014), can be done by inserting a thin metal and going around it.
Bottom opens by taking off a single screw on the bottom and pulling it out (not obvious, a little bit of force).
2021-01: while making congee it overflowed without us noticing it, and next time we were going to cook something, it started to burn bits of congee that stuck to the heat plate. Opened it up and tried to clean everything.
2020-03: E01 error, looked up on manual and it is a top wire broken, opened up and confirmed one of the three wires going up broken, exactly like the previous one joyoung rice cooker (2014). Managed to fix easily with heat gun and Solder Seal Heat Shrink, no soldering iron, that thing is amazing: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B085415G8N Let's see how long it lasts.
Fridge: Lamona LAM6800 fridge freezer.
Bedroon door glass pannel dimensions: 36cm x 59.6cm
Middle separator length: 2.5cm.
So total glass area: 36 * 2 + 2.5 x 59.6 * 2 + 2.5 = 74.5 x 121.7
Bin: TODO size.
2019-12-26: scraped off some of the likely soap scum from standing bathtub with hard plastic rice cooker spoon.
Takes two AAA rechargeable batteries.
2021-08: rechargeable battery charges were in, nominal marked 1.2V nickel metal hydride, measured as 1.38V and 1.42V.

2022-10-14: stopped being able to connect to Ubuntu 22.04. Was trying to do a UART video demo, connected USB, disconnected, connected, disconnected several times on different filming attempts. Was working some of the time, Ubuntu did recognize it, I even saw UART output for sure, but was a bit unstable. But then at one point it just stopped getting recognized by Ubuntu 100% of the time. The board is still being powered by USB, and the previously flashed program still runs, but nothing showed on sudo dmesg -w at all, and I can't reprogram it!
A day later, managed to get tit to connect once more with a different cable, but just once!

Bought: 2018, 2021.
Seems to work OK. But you're fighting the symptom, and it will eventually come back.
Bought: January 2020 from store.google.com/ for 350 pounds.
Front camera video on Android 11: about 100MiB / minute. The encoding is however super inefficient, a FFmpeg re-encode without any options reduces it by 1/3.
For Fastboot mode: Power and Volume down simultaneously for 10-15s. It is OK if screen sleeps. On "no command", power then volume up to see options.
2026-08: same status as 2023-10, managed to get mouse to work, but I forgot the bloody PIN. Doing a factory reset. Gemini instructions worked out perfectly:
  • Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons until you see the Fastboot mode screen (triangle with an exclamation point).
  • Use the volume buttons to highlight Recovery Mode and press the Power button to select it.
  • If you see an Android robot with "No command," press and hold the Power button, press Volume Up once, then release Power.
  • Scroll to Wipe data/factory reset using the volume buttons and press Power.
  • Confirm the reset, then select Reboot system now when finished
After factory reset, boot requires motherfucking pin or Google account to unlock the phone. But managed with Google account.
Noticed that the battery on that phone seems also very unreliable, is getting very warm very fast and sometimes shuts down because of it, and discharges very fast. So I have to switch between power and usb cable for mouse/keyboard fast like crazy to keep it going through operations.
2023-10: touchscreen not registering touches anymore. Still displays images. Manage to regain access with wired USB mouse + a simple USB-C adapter. RIP. Will attempt replacement: store.ifixit.co.uk/products/google-pixel-3a-screen-genuine?variant=42388954448071, partly to get Authy access which I had never properly tested... Replaced screen, but at exact same status as before: shows image but no touch. thus I wasted my money and time (minus the learning) something else is broken.

Pinned article: Introduction to the OurBigBook Project

Welcome to the OurBigBook Project! Our goal is to create the perfect publishing platform for STEM subjects, and get university-level students to write the best free STEM tutorials ever.
Everyone is welcome to create an account and play with the site: ourbigbook.com/go/register. We belive that students themselves can write amazing tutorials, but teachers are welcome too. You can write about anything you want, it doesn't have to be STEM or even educational. Silly test content is very welcome and you won't be penalized in any way. Just keep it legal!
We have two killer features:
  1. topics: topics group articles by different users with the same title, e.g. here is the topic for the "Fundamental Theorem of Calculus" ourbigbook.com/go/topic/fundamental-theorem-of-calculus
Articles of different users are sorted by upvote within each article page. This feature is a bit like:
    • a Wikipedia where each user can have their own version of each article
    • a Q&A website like Stack Overflow, where multiple people can give their views on a given topic, and the best ones are sorted by upvote. Except you don't need to wait for someone to ask first, and any topic goes, no matter how narrow or broad
This feature makes it possible for readers to find better explanations of any topic created by other writers. And it allows writers to create an explanation in a place that readers might actually find it.
    Figure 1.
Screenshot of the "Derivative" topic page
. View it live at: ourbigbook.com/go/topic/derivative
  2. local editing: you can store all your personal knowledge base content locally in a plaintext markup format that can be edited locally and published either:
This way you can be sure that even if OurBigBook.com were to go down one day (which we have no plans to do as it is quite cheap to host!), your content will still be perfectly readable as a static site.
Figure 5. . You can also edit articles on the Web editor without installing anything locally.

  4. Infinitely deep tables of contents:

Descendant pages can also show up as toplevel e.g.: ourbigbook.com/cirosantilli/chordate-subclade
