If radiation dominates the central pressure, equate Pc∼GM∗2/R∗4 to aTc4/3. This givesAt roughly fixed burning temperature, the corresponding mass-radius scaling is R∗∝M∗1/2, rather than the gas-pressure estimate R∗∝M∗. Radiation pressure alone does not determine a unique radius at a specified mass: a thermal or nuclear-burning condition is still needed to specify Tc. The relation is a homology estimate, not a universal exact law for all massive stars.
R∗∼(a3G)1/4TcM∗1/2.
