NIST SP 250-64 (2004), DOI 10.6028/NIST.SP.250-64. Full report: §3.4, printed p. 6, calibrated beam splitting; §4, printed pp. 9–10, modulated continuous-wave source, slow thermal reference, pulse-count normalization and integrating detector readout. Printed title/byline on p. 1 identifies Rodney W. Leonhardt. The historical apparatus is described separately from the article’s stipulated numerical examples.
Additional locators: §3.5, printed p. 8, TC-24 thermocouples, absorbing glass plate, before/after baseline readings and total injected energy; §4, printed pp. 9–10, pulse-count normalization and integrating electronics whose peak-voltage readout is calibrated as pulse energy. These apparatus details belong to the historical 2004 system.
Sections 5.2 and 6.1–6.2, printed pp. 13–15: bandwidth-limited detector convolution, approximately150ps optical excitation, sampling readout, and measured-response convolution for pulse corrections. Historical 2004 apparatus.
Appendix C.1–C.2, printed pp. 36–37, separates detector-response distortion from the incident waveform. The procedure describes typical 120 ps optical excitation, a roughly 5 ns detector rise time and a 1 GHz oscilloscope with 0.4 ns rise time; the measured response includes detector, cable and oscilloscope. Responses are measured at each gain and at multiple signal levels.
