Original solutions to all three questions of the University of Oxford Part A topology examination, sat on 16 June 2023. Source: officially released examination PDF, parent PDF pages 101–103; printed paper pages 1–3. The wording in 1(a)(v) requires an interpretation explained in its solution. The classification reference in 3(b)(iii) should point to 3(a)(iv).
Sources held for the University of Oxford, checked on 21 October 2026. Each year range means at least one readable question paper in each listed year, not a complete set of papers or modules. Years follow printed covers where available; archive filenames and the years requested in a freedom-of-information request are not reliable substitutes. Papers shared between degrees are counted as shared papers, not as complete archives for both degrees.
The Bodleian Exam Paper Archive advertises examinations from academic year 1999–2000 onward, with Oxford sign-in required. The list below distinguishes locally held public releases, advertised releases not yet held, and reports without question papers. Courses not mentioned individually below have no verified local question-paper holdings; their presence in the course tree does not establish examination availability.
Solutions: advertised student solutions are sufficient to skip new solutions for the advertised papers or years, even when sign-in is required. Selected answers, specimen solutions and examiner reports do not establish complete coverage. “Unverified” means that availability or exact coverage has not been established, not that answers do not exist. Transcription into the local exam archive is separate from publishing new solutions: the wiki records metadata and does not reproduce examination statements.
The conversion archive initially inventoried 947 examination PDF renditions, including split combined releases, recovered scans and examination attachments. Verified duplicate or inferior copies are consolidated while retaining their original source provenance. Separate sittings, genuinely different question sets and substantive revisions remain distinct; complementary damaged copies are retained when no complete original exists. Tutorial notes, mock and specimen papers, collections, mini-projects and unclassifiable Mathematics papers are excluded from the transcription queue. The retained inputs have editable LaTeX transcriptions. Each input records its source URL, source hash and original page range where applicable. The two password-protected Mathematics archives are deferred, and unreadable source material remains an explicit TODO unless an intact counterpart supplies the missing content. Original Oxford solutions are organized under the corresponding courses below, with reusable concept links. Question statements remain in the external source archive. Explicit TODOs identify source material that could not be recovered.
The regular University of Oxford preliminary examination was held on 20 June 2019, from 14:30 to 17:30. These solutions cover every marked part of all eight questions: digital systems in Questions 1–3, linear algebra in Questions 4–6, and natural deduction in Questions 7–8, including questions beyond the examination's permitted choice. The supplied Thumb instruction set reference and primitive proof rules are part of the held paper.
Source release: Oxford Computer Science examination archive, member 2018/T/a10101w1.pdf. The native cover establishes the 2019 regular sitting despite the archive's 2018/T directory. The printed code is A10101W1. A correction to a printed invariant bound is explained in Question 1(e); all inputs needed for the remaining solutions are present.
