Caroline Ulbricht Updated +Created 2025-05-23
Caroline Ulbricht is the wife of Ross Ulbricht, founder of the Silk Road website which allowed users to buy and sell illegal drugs online. They reportedly met while he was in jail, but it is unclear how they met TODO source.
Caroline's maiden name is very likely "Caroline Debrion" as per stalking of her online accounts below. Her middle name might start with an L giving "Caroline L. Debrion", but this is less certain.
Likely accounts:
Ciro Santilli first found her name mentioned without source at: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Ross_Ulbricht_Released_from_Prison_(cropped).jpg. Her first name "Caroline" was given by Ross at: x.com/RealRossU/status/1888299042146578925 on February 8th 2025.
As of 2025 most Google hits currently give "Rebecca Caroline Ulbricht Ferreira" however, an unrelated Brazilian molecular biology researcher from UNICAMP. So a good Google search is "caroline ulbricht" -Rebecca to remove the overlap. This leads to www.linkedin.com/in/carolineld/ hits.

Infinitely many SQL answers.
As mentioned at Ciro Santilli's Stack Overflow contributions, he just answers every semi-duplicate immediatly as it is asked, and is therefore able to overcome the Stack Overflow maximum 200 daily reputation limit by far. E.g. in 2018, Gordon reached 135k (archive), thus almost double the 73k yearly limit due to the 200 daily limit, all of that with accepts.
This is in contrast to Ciro Santilli's contribution style which is to only answer questions as he needs the subject, or generally important questions that aroused his interest.
2014 Blog post describing his activity: blog.data-miners.com/2014/08/an-achievement-on-stack-overflow.html, key quote:
For a few months, I sporadically answered questions. Then, in the first week of May, my Mom's younger brother passed away. That meant lots of time hanging around family, planning the funeral, and the like. Answering questions on Stack Overflow turned out to be a good way to get away from things. So, I became more intent.
so that suggests his contributions also take a meditative value.
www.data-miners.com/linoff.htm mentions he's an SQL consultant that consulted for several big companies.
LinkedIn profile: www.linkedin.com/in/gordonlinoff/ says he now works at the New York Times.
2021 Reddit thread about him: www.reddit.com/r/programming/comments/puok1h/a_single_person_answered_76k_questions_about_sql/ mentions that by then he had:
answered 76k questions about SQL on StackOverflow. Averaging 22.8 answers per day, every day, for the past 8.6 years.
kenorb Updated +Created
Ciro Santilli feels that this user has a surprisingly similar contribution pattern (one of the top necromancers) and subjects (Python, Bash) to Ciro Santilli.
Ciro tried to contact him to say hi, but it was hard to find a contact. kenorb, feel free to send Ciro a hi one of those days. Ciro knows kenorb knows Ciro exists because kenorb has in the past starred some of Ciro's stuff, e.g. github.com/cirosantilli/bitcoin-inscription-indexer from Cool data embedded in the Bitcoin blockchain.
His GitHub github.com/kenorb gives name Rafal W. and links to some trading stuff: github.com/EA31337, especially compatible with his stated location of London.
Rafal is Rafael in Polish: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rafał It would normally have the l with a stroke, but ASCII.
His LinkedIn sys the R3 company he works at is actually a blockchain company: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R3_(R3CEV), FOREX appears to be his on-the-side.

Marc Verdiell Updated +Created
Marc Verdiell is a French electrical engineer born in 1963 or 1964[ref] and best known for being the creator and host of the CuriousMarc YouTube channel where he does mind blowing repairs and reverse engineering of vintage computers and other electronic equipment.
Marc sold his company LightLogic, an optoelectronics company he founded, to Intel in April 2001. This was just after the dot-com crash, but Intel apparently still correctly believed that the networking and the Internet would continue to grow and was investing in the area. His associate Frank Shum sued claiming he should be credited for some of the inventions sold but lost and Marc got it all.[ref][ref][ref]. Marc was then almost immediately appointed an Intel fellow at the extremelly early age of 37, and then stayed for a few years at Intel until 2006 according to his LinkedIn.[ref][ref]

Marc's full name is actualy Jean-Marc Verdiell, but Ciro Santilli remembers there was one YouTube video where he mentions he gave up on "Jean" partly because anglophones would murder its pronounciation all the time.
Marc's PhD thesis is listed at: theses.fr/1990PA112048 and it is entitled:
Mise en phase de reseaux de lasers a semi-conducteur
which is translated into English as:
Phase locking of semiconductor laser arrays
but the full text is not available online.

Atherton managed to keep the entire place green and every house has a pool. Wikipedia comments web.archive.org/web/20220906010554/https://www.forbes.com/home-improvement/features/most-expensive-zip-codes-us/:
Atherton is known for its wealth; in 1990 and 2019, Atherton was ranked as having the highest per capita income among U.S. towns with a population between 2,500 and 9,999, and it is regularly ranked as the most expensive ZIP Code in the United States [(94027)]. The town has very restricting zoning, only permitting one single-family home per acre and no sidewalks. The inhabitants have strongly opposed proposals to permit more housing construction and Forbes confirms it for 2022: web.archive.org/web/20220906010554/https://www.forbes.com/home-improvement/features/most-expensive-zip-codes-us/, by far on top.

Social media feed that forces you to see posts by non-followed Updated +Created
During the early 2020s, many of the idiotic social media platforms started adding a non optional "feature" of suggesting feed posts by people you don't follow:
It must have been some A/B testing overload that made that decision to try and make things more addictive for everyone. Or perhaps as a way to drive revenue with people paying to cheat the algorithm and boost their posts.
European Union we need you.
Updates / Post OurBigBook job search round 2025 Updated +Created 2025-05-23
I shouldn't be doing this on funded OurBigBook time which is until the end of May, but I was getting too nervous and decided to start a casual job search to test the waters.
In particular I want to see if I can get past the HR lady step without toning down my online profiles. If nothing works out for the next round I'll be hiding anything too spicy like:
Another interesting point is to see if French companies are more likely to reply given that Ciro Santilli studied at École Polytechnique which the French worship.
Figure 1.
Gay Putin, currently used in Ciro Santilli's Stack Overflow profile
. Ciro's profiles may be a bit too much for the HR ladies who reject his job applications on the spot. To be fair, perhaps not enough years of experience for certain applications and job hopping may have something to do with it too. But since they don't ever tell you anything not to get sued, we'll never know.
I'm looking in particular either for:
I spent the last two weeks doing that:
I'll make sure to add two weeks of OurBigBook work after May to make up for this.
